TFUBC

Post COVID Sanctuary Re-Entry Plan

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Our sanctuary has the capacity to seat 250+ persons under normal circumstances.  Therefore, adhering to CDC Guidelines, we can now safely return to “In Sanctuary” worship.  The purpose of this document is to give TFUBC members an idea of what to expect when we began “In-Sanctuary” worship.  Our services will continue to be simulcast and live streamed via ZOOM and Facebook Live.

  Upon Arriving on Church Grounds

There will be reserve parking for our seniors along the north side of the building.  Signs will direct all worshipers to the front doors facing highway 17, which will be the only entrance doors. The back foyer doors will be the only exit doors.  The entrance doors will open at 10:30 and will be secured at 11:15 at the start of service.  The church grounds will be monitored by the “Parking Lot” Security Monitory who will also alert the Medical Ministry and Ushers of all late worshipers.

Entering The Sanctuary

Worshipers will be greeted by the Medical Ministry.  The Medical Ministry will be stationed in the vestibule where they will perform temperature checks on all worshipers.  Everyone will be required to wear masks.  The Medical Ministry will maintain a supply of masks.

If the worshiper passes the temperature check, they will be given a sticker and allowed to enter the sanctuary.  There, they will be greeted by the ushers.

If the worshiper fails the temperature check, he or she will be asked to be seated in the vestibule.  A second temperature check is taken after 5 minutes.  If the second temperature check is normal, the person is allowed to enter the sanctuary.

Persons who fail the second temperature check are not allowed to enter the sanctuary.  And for follow-up, the Medical Ministry will get the worshipers contact information and provide them with COVID and or flu related materials.

Upon entering the sanctuary, worshipers will be greeted by the Usher Ministry.  Worshipers wearing a sticker are seated according to CDC guidelines.  Social distancing will be observed.  Family members may sit together.  Fully COVID vaccinated persons may sit together.  Other persons will be asked to follow CDC guidelines.

The sanctuary will be sectioned off based on CDC guidelines. Worshipers will be able to exit sanctuary for rest rooms, etc. and return to the sanctuary after presenting a sticker.  Anyone not comfortable in the sanctuary may view the service from the Fellowship Hall or on 102.7 FM from their vehicles.  After service and under the direction of the ushers, worshipers will exit the sanctuary one row at a time through the rear foyer doors.  All meet and greets after the service should take place on church grounds after exiting the sanctuary.
